A Family Business Built on Honesty
SJB Mechanical started as Scott's own workshop and has grown into a genuine family business, with Scott's dad working alongside him in the garage every day. Between them they bring close to two decades of hands-on mechanical experience, and an apprentice is set to join the team full-time once he graduates.
We built our reputation across Cairns through word of mouth rather than advertising, and we'd rather tell a customer a job isn't worth doing than talk them into unnecessary work. If a specialist workshop or a new vehicle is genuinely the better option, we'll say so instead of taking on work that doesn't add up.
Scott has a particular passion for the Toyota Hilux, though we service all makes and models. Our workshop covers everything from logbook servicing, diagnostics and pre-purchase inspections through to brake, clutch, engine, transmission, diesel, steering and suspension repairs. We're proud of our ties to the local Cairns automotive and 4WD community.
